Nominee Mobilization & Winner Revenue Share Policy 2026
Taji Awards Africa – Kamba Edition 2026
1. About The Incentive
The Taji Awards Nominee Mobilization Incentive recognizes eligible individual artists and content creators who actively mobilize genuine supporters to participate in the Taji Awards voting process.
As part of the growing landscape of awards in Kenya, the initiative promotes audience engagement while providing qualifying nominees with a share of eligible voting revenue.
2. 25% Nominee Mobilization Incentive
Eligible nominees may receive 25% of Net Eligible Voting Revenue generated through their official voting code during the 60-day voting period.
Example Calculation
Total Revenue
KES 100,000
Nominee (25%)
KES 25,000
Taji Awards (75%)
KES 75,000
The incentive is subject to verification, reconciliation and this Policy.
3. Eligibility for The 25% Incentive

To qualify, the nominee must:
- Be an officially recognized Taji Awards nominee

- Attain at least 1,000 valid votes during the official voting period
- Remain eligible and in good standing
- Comply with the Taji Awards Official Voting Terms & Conditions 2026 and this Policy
- Complete any required verification
Minimum Threshold
A minimum of 1,000 valid votes is required to qualify for the 25% incentive. An eligible individual receiving fewer than 1,000 valid votes will not qualify, regardless of the revenue generated.
4. Eligible Categories and Nominees
The incentive may apply to qualifying individual categories covering areas such as:
- Music and performing arts
- Digital content creation
- Comedy
- Entertainment
- Creative arts
- Other individual creative categories designated by Taji Awards Africa
Taji Awards Africa will determine the categories eligible for the incentive.
5. Organizations and Entities Not Eligible
The 25% incentive does not apply to organizational, institutional or corporate nominees, including:
- CBOs and NGOs
- Companies and businesses
- Radio and television stations
- Media organizations
- SACCOs
- Government institutions
- Schools
- Associations and foundations
- Brands
- Other corporate or organizational entities
These entities may participate in the Taji Awards and receive votes but are not eligible for the 25% revenue share.
6. Winner Revenue Share – 50%
In addition to the 25% Nominee Mobilization Incentive, the winner of each eligible individual category may receive 50% of the Net Eligible Voting Revenue generated through their official voting code, provided the winner:
- Is an eligible individual artist or content creator
- Has attained at least 1,000 valid votes
- Has complied with the Taji Awards voting rules
- Has passed the required verification and reconciliation process
- Remains eligible at the conclusion of voting
Eligible Non-Winner
25%
of Net Eligible Voting Revenue
Eligible Category Winner
50%
of Net Eligible Voting Revenue
Important: The 50% winner revenue share replaces the 25% nominee mobilization incentive for that winning nominee. The two shares are not cumulative.
The remaining revenue is retained by Taji Awards Africa to support the administration, production, promotion and delivery of the Awards.
7. Net Eligible Voting Revenue
Net Eligible Voting Revenue means voting revenue actually received through official Taji Awards voting channels and attributed to the nominee's official voting code after applicable deductions.
Deductions may include:
- Payment-processing charges
- Refunds and reversals
- Chargebacks
- Fraudulent or invalid transactions
- Applicable taxes or statutory deductions
- Other directly attributable transaction costs, where applicable
Only revenue associated with valid and verified votes qualifies.
8. Vote Attribution and Verification
Each nominee receives a unique official voting code. Revenue generated through that code will be attributed to the nominee for purposes of this Policy.
Only valid and verified votes count toward the 1,000-vote threshold and revenue calculation.
Taji Awards Africa may review transaction records, voting records, system logs and other relevant information before confirming final figures.
9. Calculation and Payment
Revenue shares will not be calculated from live or preliminary voting figures.
After the 60-day voting period, Taji Awards Africa will complete voting and payment reconciliation.
Verified Net Eligible Voting Revenue × Applicable Percentage
Eligible payments will be processed after final verification and reconciliation.
Applicable taxes, statutory deductions or other legally required deductions may apply.
10. Nominee Mobilization Responsibilities
Nominees may promote their Taji Awards nomination, official voting code and voting link through legitimate channels, including social media, WhatsApp, community networks and personal contacts.
Nominees must not:
- Use fraudulent voting methods
- Manipulate the voting platform
- Mislead voters
- Use unauthorized payment channels
- Impersonate Taji Awards officials
- Coerce voters
- Encourage fraudulent activity
Violation of these requirements may result in loss of revenue-share eligibility, cancellation of affected votes or disqualification.
11. Relationship to Award Results
Important: The revenue-share arrangement does not itself determine the winner.
Unless otherwise stated for a specific category, winners are determined according to the applicable Taji Awards voting and judging rules.
The 50% winner share is only applicable after the winner has been officially determined and has satisfied all eligibility requirements under this Policy.
12. Transparency and Accountability
Taji Awards Africa will communicate clearly to eligible nominees:
- The applicable revenue-share percentage
- The 1,000 valid-vote threshold
- The basis for calculating Net Eligible Voting Revenue
- Applicable deductions
- The reconciliation process
- The expected payment process
Nominees may request clarification through official Taji Awards communication channels.
13. Loss of Eligibility
A nominee may lose eligibility for either revenue share where credible evidence establishes serious or repeated:
- Voting fraud
- System manipulation
- Misrepresentation
- Violation of the Official Voting Terms & Conditions
- Violation of this Policy
- Conduct intended to unfairly influence voting results
Invalid votes associated with such activity may also be removed.
14. No Guaranteed Earnings
The revenue share is performance-based.
Reaching 1,000 valid votes establishes eligibility but does not guarantee a specific payment.
The amount payable depends on the verified Net Eligible Voting Revenue generated through the nominee's official voting code.
15. Administration
Taji Awards Africa shall administer this Policy together with the Taji Awards Africa Official Voting Terms & Conditions 2026.
Taji Awards Africa may update this Policy where reasonably necessary due to regulatory, technical, financial or operational requirements. Material changes will be communicated to affected nominees.
Any matter not covered by this Policy shall be handled in accordance with the official Taji Awards voting rules and applicable laws of the Republic of Kenya.
